Post Card, showing back and front

Another in my Dream Garden series, showing how I attempt to make the back of the card carry through the theme of the front.

Fabric Carrying Bags

I neglected to post photos of these backpacks I finished in the spring of 2006. Better late than never.

Dream Garden postcards

I've been doing a series of postcards called Dream Garden. Because it is mid-winter, I'm dreaming of warmth and flowers. I'm pleased with these two cards, Dream Garden 2 and Dream Garden 4. They are in the mail.

I like to make the back of my fabric postcards somewhat artistic and in keeping with the theme of the front, but I took the photos after addressing the cards, so I can't show the backs with the addresses here.

See my other postcards at the archives for 7/23/2005.

Magical Card Case

Based on the article and pattern by NormaJean Brevik in Quilting Arts Magazine, Winter 2006 Issue 24

I also made another of these, adjusting the size a bit larger, so that my grandson can pull the ribbon and Up Pops a picture of the grandparents.

Flying Squirrels

We knew that something, probably a flying squirrel, was on the bird feeder. I turned out the lights, pulled up the curtain, and shot blind. Four flying squirrels! I wonder where they hide during the daylight when the red squirrels are eating at this "squirrel proof feeder."

I've taken dozens of pictures of these guys on two different feederes, but I always get their back sides. I think that they have very sensitive eyes and turn away from the light. Any light. Because I have the house all dark except for a nightlight in the next room.
